As EMSA Group, we continue to transparently share the steps we take to fulfill our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) responsibilities and create social value. The second issue of our SUSTAINEMSABILITY Sustainability Bulletin, which includes the latest developments in our sustainability journey, has been published. In this second issue, we are pleased to share our current milestones with you, filled with diverse content ranging from our carbon and water footprint measurements to our grant successes and social responsibility activities.
Transparent Future, Concrete Steps
As EMSA, in line with our vision of "A Sustainable Future with Our Energy" we published our first Sustainability Report on December 24th, marking the starting point of our sustainability journey and confirming our goal of leaving a more livable world for future generations. This report, a concrete demonstration of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and creating social value at every stage of our operations, documents our goal of leaving a more livable world for future generations in the light of our principle of transparency.
For the first time, our environmental performance at the EMSA Eskişehir Factory Production Facility has been clearly defined in terms of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions through calculations using internationally recognized scientific methods. According to the calculations performed for the EMSA Eskişehir Factory Production Facility, the largest share of our water footprint is the blue water footprint at 63%, followed by the grey water footprint at 27%.
Strategic Transformation and Achievements
Our group company, NOVAFORM, continues to increase its sustainability capacity with projects supported by TÜBİTAK and BEBKA Development Agency. In the project conducted under the TÜBİTAK-1831 Green Innovation Technology Mentorship Call, the audit process including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions was successfully completed, and strategic foundations were laid for the 2030 Green Transformation Strategies and Roadmap.
Our project, one of only two projects supported in the field of sustainability under the BEBKA Development Agency's "Resource Efficiency Technical Support Program" (out of a total of seven projects), has been awarded a grant. This achievement aims to accelerate our compliance process with international regulations.
We embrace social sustainability as a cornerstone of our corporate culture and consider contributing to society a responsibility. Within this framework, we shared the pride and joy of presenting certificates to our employees who voluntarily contributed to our "Shine a Light on the Future with Your Energy" social responsibility project. With the support of our stakeholders, we will continue to work with all our might to build a more livable future.
